1. Who We Are
ActivAI ("the App") is an iOS fitness application developed and operated by Aleksandrs Dascinskis ("we", "us", or "our"). The App is distributed on the Apple App Store under the name ActivAI.

2. Information We Collect
Data stored locally on your device (never sent to our servers):
- Body metrics you enter during onboarding or in Profile: age, sex, height, weight
- Fitness goals and preferred workout duration
- Available gym equipment selection
- Activity logs (sport type, date, duration, intensity, notes)
- Generated and completed workout history
- Saved workouts and training programs
- AI coach chat history
- App settings and preferences
Data sent to our AI processing backend (only during Coach requests):
- A random device identifier (UUID) โ used only for rate limiting, never linked to your identity
- Recent activity log entries (last 7 days) and completed workout summaries โ for workout personalization
- Body metrics you chose to enter (age, sex, height, weight) โ for exercise intensity recommendations
- Your equipment list and fitness goals โ to filter exercises appropriately
- Your chat message to the AI Coach
Apple HealthKit data (only if you grant permission):
- We write completed workouts (duration, calories) to Apple Health
- We read heart rate and calorie data for workouts you complete inside the App
- HealthKit data is never sent to our servers or any third party
3. How We Use Your Information

4. AI Coach & Third-Party AI Providers
The AI Coach feature sends your workout request and relevant fitness context to AI providers via our Cloudflare Worker proxy server. Depending on your settings, the AI provider may be:
- Google Gemini โ available on Free and Pro tiers. Governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
- OpenAI (GPT) โ available on Pro tier. Governed by OpenAI's Privacy Policy.
- Your own API key โ data is sent directly to the provider you chose.
Our proxy server does not store or log the content of your messages or AI responses. Requests are processed in real time and not retained. The device UUID used for rate limiting is not associated with any personal information.
5. Data We Do NOT Collect
- Your name, email address, or phone number
- GPS location or movement data
- Contacts, photos, microphone, or camera access
- Advertising identifiers (IDFA)
- Browsing history or cross-app tracking data
- Any data from other apps on your device
6. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share data only as follows:
- AI providers (Google, OpenAI) โ only the fitness context described in Section 4, only when you use the AI Coach.
- Apple โ subscription and purchase handling via StoreKit. Apple's privacy policy applies to those transactions.
- Cloudflare โ our infrastructure provider processes API requests through their network. No personal data is stored. Governed by Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.
- Legal requirements โ we may disclose data if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users.
7. Data Retention & Deletion
All app data (workouts, activities, profile, chat history) is stored on your device using iOS local storage (UserDefaults). You can delete all data at any time via More โ Clear All Data inside the App.
Deleting the App from your device removes all locally stored data permanently.
The anonymous device UUID used for rate limiting on our backend server is retained for up to 30 days and is automatically purged. It is never linked to any personal information.
8. Apple HealthKit
ActivAI uses Apple HealthKit to sync completed workouts with the Apple Health app. HealthKit integration is optional โ you can disable it in More โ Profile โ Apple Health.
HealthKit data is:
- Used only to display health metrics within the App (heart rate, calories)
- Never transmitted to our servers or any third party
- Never used for advertising or analytics purposes
- Subject to Apple's own HealthKit data protection policies
9. Subscriptions & Payments
ActivAI offers optional Pro subscriptions (monthly and yearly) processed exclusively through Apple's in-app purchase system (StoreKit). We never receive or store your payment card details.
Subscription management, cancellation, and refund requests are handled through your Apple ID account settings or reportaproblem.apple.com.
10. Children's Privacy
ActivAI is not directed at children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.
11. Security
All data transmitted between the App and our backend uses HTTPS/TLS encryption. Data stored on your device is protected by iOS's built-in security (device passcode, Face ID / Touch ID, and hardware encryption).
Our backend infrastructure runs on Cloudflare Workers with no persistent data storage of your fitness or personal information.
12. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we process about you
- Request correction or deletion of your data
- Object to or restrict how we process your data
- Data portability (receive your data in a machine-readable format)
- Withdraw consent at any time (where processing is based on consent)

13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. For material changes, we will provide notice within the App. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
